Receive Your Inheritance!

by Samuel Hari

Gal 3:13-14; Gal 3:29

As Christians we are the seed of Abraham. Everything that God promised him belongs to us and has been passed down to us through Jesus.

Gen 12:2-3

When God tells someone that He’s going to bless them, He’s not just telling them to have a nice day like we do.

Definition of BLESS in W.E. Vine and Webster’s Dictionary is “to cause to prosper, to make happy, to bestow favor upon, to consecrate to holy purposes, to make successful, to make prosperous in temporal concerns pertaining to this life, to guard and to preserve.”

The ABRAHAMIC COVENANT

  1. Financial Blessing
    1. Read Gen 13: He had a COVENANT of blessing with God and KNEW that God would bring him to success no matter where he lived.
  2. Overcomer Ability
    1. Abraham knew he had a covenant with God. He knew that God had promised to be an enemy to his enemies and he dared to act on that promise. He took God at His word. Gen 15:1 AMP.
    2. We are Abraham’s seed and we have the same COVENANT Gen 17:6-7
  3. Beyond Human Limitations
    1. No limit to what God can do to those who BELIEVE. God can make the impossible possible.
    2. Sarah was barren and old (more than 90 years old). She bore Isaac and stayed alive until he was 37 years old. She not only bore him but raised him to manhood!
  4. Generational Blessings
    1. The blessing continued to Isaac. There was famine in the land and he considered moving to Egypt to escape. However God not only told him to stay (Gen 26:2-3) but also blessed him instead (Gen 26:12)
    2. We are blessed to be a blessing. See the life of Joseph Gen 41. He started as a slave but ended up being the “savior” of Egypt when there was another famine in the land. He also ended up being the most powerful man next to pharaoh himself! The entire country was blessed because of Joseph COVENANT with God.

Abraham, Joseph and Isaac had a great inheritance but we have an even greater one through Jesus. Look at Heb 8:6

We are both recipients of the natural blessings that came through Abraham as well of the spiritual blessings that came through the new covenant that was established through our relationship with Jesus!

Rom 4:18-25 AMP

What opened the door to Abraham’s blessings? FAITH. Abraham believed. There’s no record of him moaning and grumbling and worrying and complaining. God cannot hear all this. He only hears FAITH. Faith opens the door to our INHERITANCE.
