1 Thess 4:13-18
Christians don’t die; we fall asleep when the time comes we can and will be woken up.
1. When the trumpet sounds:
- The Lord Himself will descend with a shout.
- The voice of the archangel and the trumpet sound
- The dead in Christ will rise first.
- We will be caught up to be with the LORD
2. There are 2 things that we are comforted about and bring this comfort to the world:
- Those who have fallen asleep can and will be woken up.
- Life is precious to those of us who are still alive. We are to use it with the greatest effect in bringing others to Christ.
3. Types of resurrection (of those who had fallen asleep) found in the NT and OT.
- Lk 7:11 The widow of Nain. She did not ask Jesus for help. He simply saw her grief and responded.
- Mark 5:41: Jesus saw the desperation of Jairus and responded to his plea.
- John 11:43 Jesus raised Lazarus in spite of being dead for 4 days.
- 1 Kg 17:24 The words of a “man of God” brought life to the boy.
- 2 Kgs 4:35 Elisha raises the Shunammite’s woman’s son from the dead.
THE WORD of the TRUE PROPHET of Malaysia shall bring life and revival to this land!
